Medicus Clinic Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“Medicus Clinic” or the “Clinic”) attaches great importance to protecting the privacy of patients, visitors and website users. This Privacy Policy explains the extent to which personal data obtained through www.medicus.com.tr (the “Website”) and the Clinic's healthcare services is processed, protected, stored and used. It has been prepared in accordance with Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), the Patient Rights Regulation, applicable healthcare legislation and international data-protection principles.

2. Data controller and contact

Under KVKK, Medicus Clinic Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. processes your personal data as data controller at the Clinic's business address and through www.medicus.com.tr, in accordance with applicable law. 3. Personal data processed

The Clinic may process identity data (name, surname, Turkish identity number, date of birth and sex), contact data (telephone number, email address and address), health data (examinations, diagnoses, treatments, laboratory results and prescriptions), financial data (invoices and payments), digital data (IP address, logs, cookie data and website usage), and visual data collected for security purposes (camera recordings). Health data is a special category of personal data under KVKK and is processed in accordance with applicable law and the required safeguards.

4. Purposes of processing

Your personal data is processed to provide healthcare services; carry out assessment, diagnosis and treatment; create and retain patient records; manage appointments; meet legal obligations; make notifications to the Ministry of Health and other authorised public bodies; ensure Clinic security; manage information-security processes; provide website services; and improve service quality.

5. Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under Article 5 of KVKK where processing is expressly provided for by law, necessary to establish or perform a contract, necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation, or necessary to protect the data controller's legitimate interests. Your health data is processed under Article 6 of KVKK for the protection of public health, preventive medicine and the provision of medical diagnosis, treatment and care services.

6. Transfer of personal data

In accordance with applicable law, your personal data may be shared with the Ministry of Health, the Social Security Institution, authorised public bodies, laboratories, insurers, service providers and authorised official authorities. Such transfers are made only to meet legal obligations and provide healthcare services, with data security safeguards in place.

7. Data security

Medicus Clinic Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. takes all necessary technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data. Unauthorised access is prevented; data-security systems are used; access is limited by authorisation; and all personnel with access to personal data are subject to confidentiality obligations. Health data in particular is protected by stronger safeguards and may be accessed only by authorised persons.

8. Cookies and website technologies

9. Rights of the data subject

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purposes of processing and the third parties to whom it has been transferred; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request erasure or destruction where the legal conditions are met; object to a result against you produced solely through automated systems; and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

10. How to apply

Medicus Clinic Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. undertakes to keep personal data confidential, prevent unauthorised access, ensure data security and comply with all legal obligations concerning personal-data protection.

Medicus Clinic Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time, subject to applicable law. An updated policy takes effect from the date it is published on the website.

Contact-form privacy information

Through the contact form, we obtain your first name, optional surname and telephone number, email address, subject, message and security records electronically. The data is processed to respond to your enquiry, secure the request and, where necessary, establish, exercise or protect a right, on the relevant processing grounds in Article 5 of KVKK.

This data may be shared, solely for those purposes, with authorised contact and technical-infrastructure suppliers and, where legally required, with competent public authorities. It is erased, destroyed or anonymised when the processing purpose and statutory retention periods end.
