How Does MEDICUS Work?
As Medicus® Clinic is a walk-in medical facility, there is no need to register to our clinic. Appointments are available the same day. Our Doctors can also be called out to patient's accommodation at any hour of the day or night. Our Doctors are fluent in English and can speak German. They are very experienced in general practice.
We have a visiting Doctor Service to visit our patient in their accommodation. Our visiting doctor service gives a chance for our patient to be with family members and friends. This also means lower costs and real savings over care in a hospital.
When our call center takes a call, we dispatch one of our doctor to the patient's accommodation. Response to doctor calls is normally within one hour(Non-emergencies). In an emergency situation the response time within minutes (Medicus® has a fully equipped rescue ambulance service). All of the greater Side area is covered by the service(from Kızılot to Gündoğdu, within a 50km range radius). Our doctor makes the diagnosis, arranges the chemist to deliver the necessary medicine to the patient. Payment is made at the time of the visit by cash, traveller's checks or through insurance policies. The price will be advised at the time of the call. It will depend on the time of day and the bank holidays. Our prices are in accordance with Turkish Medical Association minimum price list.
Medicus® has agreements with most private health insurance companies, and most patients with private health insurance do not face any out of pocket costs from Medicus®. Some patients will be required to pay the excess or the cost of out-patient treatment, if they have chosen to have excess in their policy.
For more serious cases or in need of lab tests, we take the patient to our clinic where we can provide more detailed medical care.
Medicus® clinic has a short stay 4 bed observation unit onsite which runs 24 hours a day. This facility caters for patients requiring up to 24 hours of medical care and observation. Patients admitted to our unit are with the medical conditions that can be managed safely in a primary care setting but would otherwise have been admitted to hospital.
We solve 98% of total medical problems as out-patient or day-patient.
For severe cases, we refer the patient directly to the hospital where operations can be performed or intensive care can be provided.
